The distance between the sun & the Earth is 108 times the sun’s diameter, and the number can be found in many ancient structures and symbols. In malas specifically, this number represents the path to spiritual completion.

The Natural Earth Mala represents the muladhara chakra: the root & basis of life in which we find our foundation & survival. This chakra connects to the natural earth loka, the color red, the planet Saturn, and the element earth.
